TEXAS, USA — It has been a warm and quiet Wednesday across West Central Texas. All of the storm activity has stayed east of the viewing area, and that is where I expect it to stay through the rest of Wednesday evening.

Thursday the severe weather threat looks to increase for the eastern portion of the viewing area. We will have isolated thunderstorms east of the dry line and south of the cold front, so be sure to stay weather aware.

The main threat with any thunderstorms will be large hail and damaging winds, but I can't rule out an isolated tornado. Any radar activity will be calming down by about 9 or 10 p.m. and be about 10° cooler for the weekend.

Saturday, our next weather maker will come from west to east, and bring rounds of rain throughout the weekend. The severe threat looks low as of now, but you'll want to keep an eye on the radar for any Mother's Day plans.
